Owl & Dagger OOTD

Jumper – c/o Owl& Dagger, Shirt – Primark, Black Skirt – H&M, Boots – Office (Old)

How beautiful is this jumper? It is made by the lovely Lucy from Lucy Boots. You can find this jumper and other loverrrly goodies at Owl & Dagger (Lucy's shop). I’ve been lusting after similar styles in Topshop, but a £40 price tag is a little redonk! I think being able to pick your favourite colour combination for £25 is a much better deal! Pretty sure I will love everything dip-dyed forevs.. the turquoise & lilac is so yummy! I’m going to be popping this jumper over all the summer dresses that just aren't getting worn because of the weather.

black maxi

Turban Thingy - Gift, Black Maxi - New Look, Sunglasses - Primark, Hamsa Hand Necklace - Little Teacup, Tooth Necklace - H&M, Belt - Primark

Hello boobs. I'm sorry about their appearance, this dress makes it a tad unavoidable! I'll have to wear a vest next time.. I think that'll just ruin it though!

I failed at taking outfit pictures so this is more of an accessories post. Maxi dresses/skirts are my go-to 'cba summer outfits'. I just change my accessories and I'm good to go. I've worn this dress so many ways.. even with tights in winter. I think the whole turban headband thingy is a bit last year but it is keeping my unruly hair under control!

love heart stockings

Hat - Borrowed, Sunglasses - H&M, Top - Zara, Dress - Charity Shop, Hold ups - Primark, Creepers - Ebay, Backpack - Primark

I forgot I had these hold ups.. I can never resist picking something up from the hosiery section in Primark. I think I've got about 10 pairs of unopened patterned tights as back-ups!

I'm afraid I've got nothing too exciting to talk about today.. I'm trying to save up lots of pennies over the summer so limited to what I can do/buy. Instead I'm lusting over holidays that I can't go on (sob!). I need to win one of This Morning's competitions or something. Ha.

tutorial: feather nails

I thought I'd attempt a tutorial on these nails! The current weather situation is grim, which means outfit pictures were a no go! My attempt isn't the best.. this was first go & I think bigger feathers would work better. However, the method still applies so I thought some of you might like to see how I did it!

You'll need:

Clockwise from left: Basecoat, Topcoat, Cotton  Bud (for cleaning up!), Nail File, Scissors, Feathers

Step 1

Paint your nails with the basecoat. A colour that contrasts nicely with your feathers works best :)

Step 2

Once your nails have dried, apply the topcoat. Let it get a little tacky before putting on your feathers (I cut mine up into smaller pieces) and use something like the nail file to hold down any fiddly bits. When the feathers are stuck down securely, apply a final top coat & leave to dry.

Step 3

Cut down the feathers & give your nails a little file so there are no rough edges. You can leave your nails like this or add some extra bits & bobs :)

Step 4 (Optional)

I decided to stick with the theme and add a little dream catcher to my ring finger. My nails are pretty tiny so I'm quite limited to the amount of detail! I just did a small circle with some extra bits on.. nothing too complicated!

That's about it really! There are quite a few similar tutorials out there, so have a gander on google :) If anyone has any questions then feel free to ask!

camo vest

Sunglasses - Primark, Choker - DIY, Camo Vest - Army Shop, Jacket - New Look (kids), Tights - Primark, Boots - Charity Shop

Excuse the bad photography & no make-up face. I'm aiming to get a new camera & become a photography goddess by the end of the summer. Ha. My skin needs a break, hence the pale face. Once again I am hiding behind sunglasses!

The vest is a newbie I got from a local army shop. There is loads of camo stuff on the high-street at the minute, but you really don't have to spend too many pennies. This top cost me £6.50.. wahay! I'm thinking of putting daisies on it, I can't cope with no girlyness! I've also got another tee that I've got for a DIY I'm working on.. keep an eye out for that :)

haul: primark & new look kids

Oh dear, this haul isn't quite as 'mini' as I'd thought. In my defence, everything is pretty cheap! No more spending!!

Primark
 1. (£3) Reduced in the sales. Anything with lime green is my best friend at the mo.  I'm thinking fishnets and docs?!
2. (£5) One of my favourite Primark purchases. I already have this dress in green, so could not resist this version at half price! I would have bought this dress even if it was bright yellow with blue spots. It is the perfect fit and really comfortable.
3. (£6) Hello cute body. They also do this with a tiger print, cannot wait to wear it with disco pants!
4. (£6) Who can say no to galaxy print?! Again, another disco pants outfit sorted.
5. (£6) I've worn this so much since I bought it. It looks great with anything high waisted.

New Look
6. (£10) My buy of the month. I found this in the kid’s sale section. It's age 14-15 (aw) and fits lovely. I'd say 14-15 is just about fully grown anyway ha! Definitely check out New Look's younger range, they have some bargains.

jumper & Dolly Bow Bow floral crown

Floral Crown - Dolly Bow Bow, Jumper - Charity Shop, Skirt (A top that I dip-dyed) - Primark, Leather Jacket - Topshop, Boots - Docs

I'm going to tolerating the weather & get my legs out anyway. I'm wrapped up on the top, I just cannot cope with tights. The skirt I'm wearing is actually a top that I dip-dyed and tied around my waist.. if that makes sense. I hate tops that aren't quite long enough to be dresses, so I had to make do!

How perrrdy is my floral crown?! Dolly Bow Bow has a lovely selection in at the mo. This one is really wearable, very festivaly (new word.. couldn't think of a better way to describe it ha) without being too out there.

I've got a mini haul to put up if people would like to see it? Primark is making saving money impossible. Oh & I'm gonna try smile on the next set of pictures.. WHY do I always look so angry?!

suspender shorts

Hat - Borrowed, Cardigan - H&M, Choker (DIY from a headband)- Primark, Necklace - Little Teacup, Top - Charity Shop, Suspender Shorts - Charity Shop & DIY, Tights - Primark, Creepers - Underground

This outfit looks a little scruffy. Due to the horrid weather all items of clothing that are pretty and summery are banished. I’ve worn tights at least 3 times this week. BOO.

The shorts are a DIY from last summer (when I could actually flash a tad more flesh!). They’re a bit of a faff to make, but they're a nice change if you’re a shorts girl like me. I may be attaching big chunky socks to them if it gets any colder! I’ve worn some of the items above quite a lot in previous posts, but after reading Sara’s post I’m pleased to know that I’m not the only one that has worried about constantly wearing the same things. I think this girl could definitely be the voice for the blogging community ha!

My internet is back in the land of the living (for now). I’ll be catching up on all of your loverrrly blogs over the next few days.. big apologies for my absence!

nails & naughty bracelets

Those of you that follow me on twitter will know that I am currently having a mare with my internet. As in it just doesn’t exist at my house anymore. UGH. If I do go AWOL for a few days then this is why! Until it has been revived I’m relying on the boy to let me pinch his. In return he can watch the football in peace. Fair’s fair?!

Today's nails are using nail transfers, a post I'd seen on Vicky's blog.. gotta stop copying that gurl! They are so easy if you want nail art to look neater. I don’t think I’ll ever struggle to make wibbly wobbly lines straight again!

My naughty little bracelet is aimed at none of you obviously ;) I had some letter beads to use up and this was the result.. I was kind of thinking of the indcsn beanies?!  Or maybe I was having a little angry girl day haha. Anyhoo, it’s only up close that you see the naughty bit! From a distance it’s quite dainty & girly..

DIY customised Levi’s Jacket

I found this jacket in a charity shop for a bargain price (£6 eeep!). I decided it would make a good DIY project. I love The Ragged Priest & their customised jackets, but thought I could have a bash at making my own for much cheaper.  I've added a few pictures of how I did it.. you can't really go wrong, it just depends on what look you're going for :)

What do you think?! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.. Oooh & I might pop this on my shop if anyone is interested!
