denim maxi dress

Sunglasses - H&M, Coat - Zara, Dress - c/o Free People, Belt - Primark, Boots - Docs

Apologies for these sungigs constantly appearing. I know it’s winter, but I don’t actually wear much make-up & they are the best for hiding that fact. I don’t think anyone needs to see my eyes all make-up free & making me look like a little piglet!

I’ve been to the sales today so I had an excuse to wear my crazily pretty dress from Free People. Their maxi dresses are so perfect. They’ve just expanded their site to include the UK & it is killing me. Just go look on their New Arrivals and you will know what I mean. It’s full of hippy-chic treats that are going to make me a poor lady. The dress above is going to get worn to death. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many compliments on one item! Even the girls in MAC said they liked it. To me, if a girl in MAC says they like your dress then you’re heading along the right lines. Ha. They’re always so glamorous! Compliments from strangers always make my day so I think that will be my new years resolution.. to tell people when they look/are wearing something lovely.

My coat doesn’t exactly go but I had to show it you all on. It’s like walking around in a sleeping bag. All the furry bits are detachable so it will be perfect for our rainy summers. Christmas was less than a week ago & I’m already thinking about my summer wardrobe, typical!

I’ve got a few bargains from the sales that I might do a post about if anyone would be interested? I may have to wait a week or so though as my stash is likely to be added to.. hello zero self control!

Christmas presents!

Dr Martens Aggy Strap Boot, Too Faced Naked Eye Palette, Liz Earle Kit, Huggie Bear, Handmade Journal, Bones Ring, The World's Top Fashion Blogs Book, Zara Parka

I’m kind of gutted that I completely forgot to take any pictures on Christmas day with my good camera. I’ve been reading everyone’s Chistmas posts & loving all the festive pictures! I’m a bad blogger, I’ll have to wait while next year now. This post was actually meant for yesterday, but I was so exhausted I thought it would be better to write it today.. you could have ended up with a load of crazy tired talk.

I thought I’d show you a few of my presents because I know I love having a peak at what other people got! I’m a tiny bit nosey, I can’t help it! My main presents were my beautiful new docs from my ma & pa & the world’s snuggliest coat from the boyfriend. They all did so well this year! I’m a bit worried about my new shoesies as I’ve heard so many people say that the zips break really easily. I’m trying to be very gentle & hope for the best.. I’m known for being clumsy so fingers crossed that they survive! Some of the other pressies are just stocking fillers but I really love them. The book on blogging (the boyf has been raking in the brownie points!) is really cute & something I can’t wait to have a flick through with a brew.

I’m hoping that you all had really lovely Crimbles. I can’t believe it’s all over for another year! I spend so long getting giddy about the build-up & then it’s all over so quickly. Those 24 days before the biggie are definitely my fave. Now onto New Year!

If you've got a Christmassy post on your blog then pop the link in the comments, I'd love a read & I'm just not feeling revision atm!

a few festive snaps & MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sorry about this post being a little picture heavy, I just wanted to post some festive snaps before I say a huge MERRY CHRISTMAS! Golly how quickly has that one come round?! Can we have December again please?!

I always think it’s nice to have your blog as a bit of a diary, so this is my month summed up. I’m also mega nosey & know that I love having a look at people’s lives outside blogging.. maybe some of you love a little peek like I do! Admittedly, I’m not that exciting & most of the pictures are from festive days out with my mamma. Such a cool cat aren't I! Very surprised that I managed to cut it down to this many pictures. I’m one of those irritating people that take pictures of every single thing. I had to stop when it got to the 20+ pictures of my cat attacking the tree.

I’m off to go prep for Christmas Eve goodness at the pub but make sure you all have the loveliest of lovely Crimbles! I’m sending lots of festive love & hoping Father Christmas brings you everything you asked for. Ha, the festivity has gone to my head.

cut out dress

Headchain - c/o Celliana, Sunglasses - H&M, Dress - c/o In Love With Fashion, Creepers - Underground

This was going to be my last post before the big day, but I may throw in a cheeky post just to wish everyone a huge Merry Crimble! I like sticking to my little every other day blogging routine. I’m kind of OCD & I like to keep things organised so I know what I’m doing. However, if the festivities do get a little hectic then I’ll be back on Boxing Day I’m sure. When the mince pies are running low & all the family have had enough of each other I will definitely need a little bit of respite in the shape of blogging! I’m getting pretty excited for it now.. eating lots of turkey, watching Downton & dishing out the presents. Eeek. Sending lots of Christmas loving to everyone!

Next time I post an outfit I’m going to try my very best to not be wearing all black. I’ve got to stop buying black clothes! This dress is a babe though. The cut out bit at the back is really flattering around the bottom half. For a small-ish girl I’ve got a rather ample sized bottom & so something that makes it look nice without being too Nicki Minaj is always in my good books.

Oh & I fancied a bit of black lippy.. I know I should be going for something festive like red but I just thought why not. Just pop me a black wig on & I'm Mortia.

spiked beanie & tie dye crop top

Beanie - c/o Once Upon A Time, Sunglasses - H&M, Crop Top - c/o Once Upon A Time, Belt - Primark, Coat - c/o SheInside, Skirt - Topshop, Boots - Docs

I think this is my favourite outfit that I’ve worn in ages. It’s everything I like all put together & a lot of black. I can’t help but think all black outfits are hot! I’m such a wannabe goth. Hand me the black lippy now!

I wore this outfit for a little festive lunch with my mamma and her friends. I was traipsing round town so I did pop some tights on .. I’m not that brave! I had to add a big ugly cardigan too & zipped my coat up so my midriff wasn’t too chilly. I’m sure if my nanna saw half my outfits she’d be telling me I’ll catch pneumonia. To be honest, by the time I’ve finished wrapping up whatever I’m wearing isn’t quite as cute. Ha. Gotta layer in these chilly times!

The top and hat are two absolute beauts from Once Upon a Time who sell vintage & customised goodies. When I opened the package I did squeal a little bit. Isn’t the hat cool?! I’ve had loads of people asking me where it’s from. As of yet it’s been on my head every day since it arrived, but then I do wear a lot of hats! I’m going to have to get another colour at some point & add to my collection.

snuggly jumper day

Hat - H&M, Sunglasses - H&M, Cardigan - c/o SheInside, Dress - Charity Shop, Socks - Primark, Creepers - Ebay

So there isn’t really much to this outfit. I basically had one of those days where you just want to be cosy in bed. It’s Christmas, it’s cold & I’ve got a huge amount of revision, surely that’s a good enough excuse? I got this cardigan this week & it came in handy for the much needed cosy time. Sometimes I just can't cope with wearing a belt that means my breathing is slightly restricted. Ha I'm exaggerating (a little!) but you know what I mean, everybody likes a lazy day outfit.

I popped it on with a dress I found in a charity shop ages ago. It reminds me of an American Apparel sort of thing, without the price tag. It fits really nice but is a bit too see through. To the point where it cannot be worn around flash photography.. Hello nipples.

I actually wanted to do a nails post today showing you my fave matte top coat. Unfortunately the pictures were a complete fail, so I’ll try that another day if people would fancy a nosey? I’ve got a few other exciting things to show you this week too so keep an eye out!
